Panittha Buri, Managing Director of Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), recently announced that construction for BITEC Phase II, the major expansion project for BITEC, is continuing according to plan with the project approximately 51% complete and on track to open in Quarter 4, 2016.
The BITEC expansion project is worth a total of 6 billion baht and will provide approximately 32,000sqm of additional event space. The project will deliver 3 new exhibition halls, including one with a 25 metre high ceiling suitable for world tour concerts. There will also be 3 new convention halls, 12 new meeting rooms and additional dining and retail facilities.
BITEC Phase II currently under construction in the Bangna district of Bangkok.

On completion, BITEC phase II is expected to support the growth of Thailand’s MICE industry and place the facility as one of the most competitive MICE venues in Asia.
