Thailand’s Olympic badminton star Ratchanok ‘May’ Inthanon dropped in at the CAT Sports Club on 3rd Road in Pattaya last weekend whilst on vacation at the seaside resort city with a group of family and friends.
The 17-year old Thai starlet is the most successful junior badminton player in history after winning the world junior title in three consecutive years from 2009-11, and was also a member of the successful Thailand national team at last year’s SEA Games.
In London, Ratchanok lost out at the quarter-final stage of the singles competition in a closely fought contest to world number the 2 player Wang Xin from China, who used her greater experience to come from a set down to beat the Thai youngster 2-1. Still, time is on the side of Ratchanok in her quest and desire to one day win an Olympic gold medal for the Kingdom.
