Able the Disabled Foundation held a special ‘fun day’ for around 25 special needs riders at the grounds of Horseshoe Point on Saturday, July 20.  They were accompanied by 20 riders from the local riding school as they took on several obstacle courses, show-jumping and a mystery tour.

The first tasks involved carrying around a coloured flag and collecting six matching discs, or answering a test compiled of six questions.  The fastest times for each game won a trophy.  The winner in the first category was Bee Sakultiew from the Father Ray Foundation while the young brain-box completing the questionnaire in the shortest time was Ohn Vajrasthira.

The able bodied riders of Horseshoe Point then completed a mystery tour followed by either a jumping speed class round, or for the less experienced, an obstacle race.  Times were added up and the fastest of the day in each category won a trophy.

Obstacle race/mystery tour winners were Korawij Devahistin Na Ayudhaya (1st overall), Melanie Toon, Charlotte Crabb, Katie Crabb, Coben Shale and Saffron Shale.

The show jumping speed class/mystery tour was won by Lily Mae Toon who was followed onto the podium by Sandy Buanmathong, Woraphat Sittiju and Saserach Tomongkol respectively.

A surprise at the award ceremony was an appearance by Cartoon Network Amazone’s mascot Ben who delighted the riders by individually awarding them their trophies.  Organizers of the Horseshoe Point event would like to thank sponsor Cartoon Network for providing goodie bags, t-shirts, rosettes, medals and trophies.  Amazone is the world’s first Cartoon Network water park and will be opening in Bang Saray in 2014.
