PSC golf from Café Kronborg

Monday, July 23,Century Chonburi – Stableford

A Flight (0-22)

1st Jean Morel 36pts

2nd Mike Winfield 34ps

3rd Peter Fagerlund 29pts

B Flight (23+)

1st Torben Sorensen 41pts

2nd Dave Richardson 33pts

3rd Ronnie Ratte 28pts

We set off on time for a course we have not been to for 15 months and arrived in good time to tee-off 20 minutes early under sunny and breezy conditions.  The course on the day was ok considering it has little cash resources and was judged to be in better condition than Rayong Country Club.  There has been no improvement in the clubhouse however and it is recommended that you take your own lock if you want to secure belongings in a locker

All in all it was an enjoyable round of golf for everybody.

After a round of 4 hours and 20 minutes, back in the clubhouse we said goodbye to Brian Saaterup and Torben Sorensen.

This is a long course from the white tees but there were some reasonable scores returned in both flights with Jean Morel taking the A Flight with 36 points ahead of Mike Winfield in second and Peter Fagerlund third.

Torben Sorensen took the B Flight with the best score of the day, 41 points, while Dave Richardson and Ronnie Ratte completed the podium.

Thursday, July 26,Burapha – Stableford

1st Jim Carrick (35) 37pts

2nd Phil Sheppard (19) 35pts

3rd Peter Fagerlund (22) 35pts

4th Mike Winfield (22) 33pts

We had a visit to Burapha today, playing the A and D loops.  Check-in was quick and we were off the A1 tee 45 minutes early under partly cloudy skies with a brisk wind out of the south.  We have not played here in a long time but remember the course always being in tip top condition as it was today.

Back in the clubhouse, after a very swift round of 3 hours and 45 minutes, Phil Sheppard was welcomed from Sydney and a farewell was said to Peter Fagerlund returning to Sweden.

Jim Carrick was the winner today with 37 points while Phil Sheppard took second on a count back over Peter fagerlund, both on 35.
