2nd Paul West (16) 37pts

3rd Peter Kelly (15) 35pts

Just 11 players today for Green Valley and the course was a bit soft from recent rain so “lift clean & cheat” was the order of the day.

Steady Ian Pickles scorched home with 20 points on the back-nine and 38 overall to take the win by one over Paul West in second place.  Two points further back, Peter Kelly just pipped J.P. Maffray on count back to take third spot.

Monday, April 10, Bangpakong – Stableford

Only one group today for Bangpakong with most people making plans to get out of town before the madness, but this meant got to play millionaire’s golf.

We finished in just over 4hrs and The Donkey (Colin Davis) was top scorer with 37 points, two ahead of ,Rune Aksdal in second while Peter Kelly, playing in his last game this trip, took third a further two points back.

Wednesday, April 12, St. Andrews – Stableford

1st Stan Smith (34) 40pts

2nd Colin Davis (22) 36pts

3rd Gary Emmett (16) 33pts

Seven players today for St. Andrews and with an all-in price of 1750 baht and members 1000 baht you would have expected the place to be packed, but the course was empty.  They are starting to do some work on the greens here so this will probably take a few weeks to get it right and in the meantime they need to cut the rough down as it’s almost impossible to get out of.

Stan Smith was on fire today and came in first with 40 points, four clear of the Donkey in second place while Gary Emmett took third a further three back.

The Donkey had fight down the wire to take the A Flight hounours, edging out Mark West on a 22/16 back-nine count back after both scored 36 points overall.

Mogen’s Jensen also scored 22 points on the back-nine and won the B Flight with 38 on his card while 2 points back in second was Stan Smith.
