Sunday, March 20, Silky Oak – Stableford

1st Nick Shaw (17) 38pts

2nd Vaulton Reece (17) 36pts

3rd Colin Davis (19) 36pts

We had a small but elite group for Silky Oak today.  The first group out consisted of Merle, Paul West & Colin the Donkey and they played like donkeys, with Colin top scoring with on 36 points.  ~The other group they fared a little better with Nick Shaw top scoring with 38, from Vee with 36 and Woodsy with 34, the latter incurring a penalty for cleaning his ball on the fairway (Its funny what new rules you pick up in Korea).

Wednesday, March 23, Treasure Hill – Stableford

A Flight

1st Jeff Wylie (8) 36pts

2nd Paul Smith (1) 36pts

B Flight

1st Eddie Bielby (19) 34pts

2nd Peter Terry (22) 33pts

A fair size crowd today considering a lot of our men were playing at Green Valley in the caddy support comp.  This was our first time back at Treasure Hill for a long time but now with the green fee at an attractive rate we will be back there more often.  The course was in perfect condition and just as tough as usual.

We had 2 flights with 2 places in each and 4 near pins and 2 longest putts to aim for.  Not surprisingly no one broke their handicap today, with 3 players in A flight having 36 points on the toughest course in the area.  Jeff Wylie took first place with 20 on the back nine to edge Paul Smith (18) and Pat Regan (16) in the count back.

Eddie ‘the eagle’ Bielby swooped in to snatch first place in B flight with 34 points, one ahead of the crafty cockney Peter Terry in second.

Near pins were claimed by Pat Regan, William Peach, Paul Smith & Greg Gawron, and longest putts by Andre Fortis and Neil Smith.
