PSC Golf from The Billabong Golf Bar

Wednesday, Oct. 1, Green Valley – Stableford

We were joined by the Kiwi Tour group today at our usual venue Green Valley.  The course as usual was in magnificent condition and the work going on around the course is just fantastic, new cart paths etc., good for everyone.

With seven groups playing we got away a little bit early and were around in just on four hours.  It was dammed hot for the first nine holes but it didn’t rain until after were in having a beer.

The Kiwi connection made a good fist of the course and some got into the prizes also.  The prizes went down to sixth place which was taken by one of our regular boys Wayne Cotterell with 35 points.  Fifth place went to Jerry from Christchurch, fourth to Barry Copestake, both also with 35, and third to Bob Philp on 36.  William Macey with 37 secured the silver but taking top spot was Ron Kroening with a fine 39 points, being the best of the Kiwi team.

Friday, Oct. 3, Burapha – Stableford

We had a couple of no shows at Burapha due the fact one person couldn’t answer the phone another couldn’t get off the nest, but I guess when you are on holiday you need to relax.

Rosco and his Tukatar.Rosco and his Tukatar.

Of those who did turn up it was to be Rosco’s day with a 37 off the bat round the front nine and 23 points.  He matched that with a 17 points finish on the back for 40 points to win the day by 7 clear.  Coming a distant second was Capt. Bob on 33.

Rosco also managed to get two ‘2’s and Capt Bob got the other one.

Note:  The Billabong is situated just off Siam Country road looking straight down Lake Mabprachan.  Give Bob a call on 082 204 3411 if you are looking for a game.
