Two flights at Bangpakong on Monday with Steven Phillips recording the best round, a fine 40 points, to win the B Flight ahead of Dave Bramley and Dave Strang.  Mike Phillips needed a count back to take the A Flight honours from Brian Orr, both on 35 points, while Clive Bruce completed the podium.

Another full complement of golfers assembled on Wednesday to take on Green Valley.  Greg Ritchie shot the best round of the week (42pts) to take out B Flight and also took a share of the ‘2’s pot with Brian Orr.  Eddie Blackwell headed the senior flight by two from Dave Hester and Arch Armstrong.

Friday, Jan. 13, Mt. Shadow – Stableford

A Flight

1st Doug Crowe (8) 34pts

2nd Jason Barnett (6) 33pts

B Flight

1st Dave Strang (18) 31pts

2nd Kevin Hamilton (18) 23pts

Lower scores on Friday as Mountain Shadow bared its teeth.  Just two places up for grabs in each flight and Doug Crowe topped the A Flight on 34 points ahead of Jason Barnett, while Dave Strang secured B Flight honours with 31 and Kevin Hamilton placed second on a meager 23 points.

Just to show how tough Mountain Shadow played; Caddyshack regular Ramsay Smith scored a society record 9 points on the front nine and stormed home with 1 point on the back.  He remarked later that he “found that course a little difficult.”
