Monday, Nov. 20, Phoenix Gold – Stableford

We teed off at Phoenix today in light showers and a couple of the groups called it a day as they felt the rain was a little too heavy.  The course was in surprisingly good condition for the amount of rain it had received over the last week.

The scores were quite good and George Barrie Took 4th spot with 35 points while 3rd went to Sandy Chapo with 36, being beaten by the Nipper on a count back.  Top spot went to Miss Sasicha with a fine effort of 38 points.

There was only one ‘2’, recorded by Sandy Chapo.

Wednesday, Nov. 22, Green Valley – Stableford

Green Valley was the venue on a fine day with just a gentle breeze and no too much sun.  The course is in great condition at the moment, with the greens as good as you would get anywhere.

Playing to your handicap today got you a hand shake at the very best.  Nipper Truscott took 4th place with 37points and Mike Quill was 3rd with 38.  Paul Hack managed 40 points off his 9 handicap to take 2nd, but Kevin Wild had a day out as he scored 42 points to take line honours.

There were three ‘2’s, coming from Peter Davies, John Locke and Mike Quill.

The ladies really enjoyed themselves today and their scores were remarkable, with Miss Sa taking 3rd place with 40 points, Miss Som in 2nd with 41 and Miss Nu winning with a grand 43 points.

Friday, Nov. 24, Phoenix Gold – Scramble

The Billabong monthly scramble was held at the Phoenix Gold and we had 13 groups playing.  The weather was great with a nice breeze and a little high cloud.

The scores were quite good considering we played the Mountain loop first, it being the harder of the three loops here.  The Valley Hackers managed to take 3rd place with a score of net 60, 2nd place went the team led by Paul Hack with 59.7, but the Irish contingent took the top spot with 58.2, which is a great score around here.
