1st Peter Nixon (11) 44pts

2nd James Brackett (8) 40pts

3rd Brad Jordison (9) 39pts

4th Ronnalyn Carungay (30) 39pts

5th Ray Wilkes (16) 39pts

Welcome back to Jimmy Brackett, rejoining us after some ill health. Glad to have you back and hope your health keeps up with your scoring!  Also welcome to Randy Hurwitz, who joins the Outback on our regular outings.

(L-R) Tony Oaks with Eddy Beilby and Bob Mattes.

Playing from the white tees again at Burapha A&B, our Outback players did get the best of the course, with half the field equaling or playing better than handicap.

In 5th place, losing on count back with a great 39 points was Ray Wilkes. Rona, who’s handicap continues to come down nicely, looked like a professional on the day and she did not disappoint on the scoring either, finishing 4th and also with 39.  Brad Jordison, playing a superb back nine with 23 points, finished in 3rd spot with his 39 points.

In 2nd place, Jimmy Brackett played really well to finish with 40 points from his 8 handicap but the winner was last year’s order of merit champion who streaked ahead with a magnificent 44 points and made it to a single figure handicap after his great performance.

There were four ‘2’s today, by Jim Brackett (2), Pete Stonebridge and Ivan Plunkett.

Friday, April 1, Green Valley – Stableford

1st Tony Oakes (14) 40pts

2nd Peter Nixon (11) 37pts

3rd Peter Lenoury (14) 35pts

1st Robert Mattes (24) 36pts

2nd Eddy Beilby (21) 36pts

3rd Dave Atkinson (19) 34pts

The course at Green Valley played rather hard today with only 2 scores bettering handicap, with the A division guys clearly finding the course easier despite receiving a shot or two less on playing handicap than the B division.

In Div B, Dave Atkinson finally found a caddy that could read his way of putting as he came in with a score of 34 points to finish 3rd.  Eddy Beilby had another good level par round to finish 2nd and in 1st place, after a long drought from any prizes, was Robert Mattes who was very pleased with his 36 points to beat Eddy on count back.

In the A division, Peter LeNoury finished 3rd with 35 points, Peter Nixon again beat his handicap to finish 2nd with a great 37 points, but the great score of the day went to Tony Oaks with his fabulous 40 points.

There were only one ‘2’ on the day, belonging to Tony Oaks.
