A lot of guys will be happy to read that Jay Burns has now left the building.  Damn, this guy is a good golfer and is always a contender, not a pretender.  Jay took the top spot from the Blue Tees on the day so notch up another victory on the gunslingers belt once again.  Jay, it’s always great to have ya play with us buddy and we hope to see you soon.

For the rest of us mere mortals who play from the White Tees, it was a tie between Michael Hastie and that legendary Scotsman, Henry O’Brien (no relation to O’Bama) for top spot at a credible 37 Stableford points.

Also, many thanks to our Australian mate Michael Hastie for helping us with our new Cisco Systems modem and router so we now have a fast and reliable wifi connection.  I owe you a steak or two mate!  Our Canadian mate Martin Zimmerman also had a good round with 34 points to round off the table.  Martin is here now for several months and is settling in nicely in his new Jomtien abode so hey man, chill out and have another cigar!

Wednesday, Nov. 21, Silky Oaks (White tees) – Stableford

1st Ken Aihara (5) 39pts

T2nd Michael Hastie (18) 35pts

T2nd Chaten Patel (12) 35pts

Well, it looks like Silky Oaks is becoming a regular new venue for us and the feedback we are getting is very positive.  We like dealing with the management at this complex and they are working with us for favourable rates in the high season.  I must admit to being skeptical with the whole concept of this layout at first, but the votes are in and Silky Oaks gets top marks.

We said “Ohio-gozai-mas” to Ken-San this morning and a “gambata-ney” later our pal walks off the course with a big 39 circled at the top of his card.  That’s enough to win a whole bunch of those TGC Handsome Man Vouchers and to claim another first place finish.  Well done Kenny!

Friday winners Bill, Ian, Mick and Pierre celebrate at the bar.Friday winners Bill, Ian, Mick and Pierre celebrate at the bar.

But wait, didn’t we see that name of Michael Hastie on the podium just a couple of days back?  Here he is again after Monday’s 1st and in the prizes once again in his 2nd.  He obviously needs to spend more time helping us with the internet.  We can’t forget Chaten, who tied for second, and is pictured with our mate Woody who caddied for Peter Hanson in India a few weeks back.  Just shows you what a swell guy Peter Hanson is.  Hey Chaten, nice shirt!

Friday, Nov. 23, The Emerald (White tees) – Stableford

1st Ian Brimble (7) 38pts

2nd Mick Robinson (16) 36pts

3rd Bill Eyles (25) 35pts

4th Pierre Ceres (11) 35pts

Another fun day of golf and off to the Emerald we go!  This is not an easy course by any measure, and I was wondering how several new boys would react to this track.  The consensus was that all were impressed with the wonderful collection of par 3’s on this layout, but a chunk of money was needed to make it a truly great course.  And therein lies the dilemma, getting the balance right so that there are reasonable green fees and a well maintained course.

Not every course will be up to the standards of Siam CC, but that’s a good thing as it will give us some low cost golf on a decent track to test our skills.

Ian Brimble showed the most skill on the day as he turned in his card of 38 hard earned points to win the comp outright.  That’s a great score on this tough course mate, well done.  And thanks also to Ian for ringing the bell after Phil’s announcement of his victory for drinks all round.

Thanks for joining us for another week of millionaire’s golf in Pattaya!

Note:  The Golf Club is located on Soi LK Metro.  We usually play on Monday, Wednesday and Friday so come join us for a seriously fun day out.  Just call 085 434 3377 or see our website www.golfclubpattaya.com and for more information mail us: pattaya4golf@ gmail.com and see updates at www.facebook.com/golfclubpattaya.
