Sattahip sub-district Mayor Pairoj Malakul Na Ayutthaya opened the Oct. 6 drug-prevention activity at the Toey Gnam Community Volleyball Club at Sattahip School with more than 200 students, teachers, sailors and local leaders attending.

Deputy Mayor Supachai Nimanong said volleyball is addictive, in a good way, unlike illicit narcotics for youths, pointing out that many current national team members began playing early in life.

The games were open for all, but intended to provide a diversion for teens and encourage them to get more involved in sports.
