Tuesday, July 11, Green Valley – Stableford
Too many of our group are enjoying their holidays at the moment and it meant this week we only had one flight each day. Nevertheless we enjoyed our game.
On Tuesday we went to Green Valley and the course was not in a very good condition after all the rain the night before. On the fairways we saw wet places, brown grass and bare spots. The weather was hot when we started, but later became partly clouded with a nice breeze.
Neil Harvey played consistent today and won with 34 stableford points while Dave Smith came second with 31.
The near pin awards went to Dave Smith, Paul Davies and Stephen Ford (2).
Thursday, July 13, Mt. Shadow – Matchplay
On Thursday we went to Mountain Shadow and had a game on match-play, Neil Harvey and Dave Smith against Daniel Oshiro and Willem Lasonder. It was good to see Daniel coming back after a few month’s furniture construction. It was a tough game for Daniel and Willem as Neil and Dave showed their class and won easily.
