Monday, July 31, Parichat – Stableford

There were 2 divisions out today with the equal cut at 14-19 and 21+.  Welshman Curtis Hessler returned the best score of the day, winning division 2 with 33 points while Peter Davies was second on 32 after beating Frank Grainger 19/11 on a back-nine count back.

Paul Young topped division 1 with 31 points and Tim Hake placed second one point behind, with Shane Tutton close behind in third.

Near pins went to (Div 1) Paul Butler and Paul Young, and (Div 2) Alan Bissell and Curtis Hessler.

Paul Butler birdied the 6th to record the only ‘2’ of the day.

Wednesday, August 2, Treasure Hill – Stableford

A similar sized field as of Monday and 37 points won division 2 for Frank Grainger, with John Doyle second on 29.  Tim Hake was on the podium again, winning division 1 with 30 points while Terry Madsen took second on 29.

Tim Hake birdied the 13th, Terry Madsen the 6th and Tom Yahnke the 17th to the first division ‘2’s pot.

Tom Yahnke in division 1 and Frank Grainger in division 2 took home the near pin awards.

Friday, August 4, Eastern Star – Stableford

1st Glyn Evans (22) 36pts

2nd Les Smith (17) 33pts

3rd Joe Kubon (28) 32pts

The organizer Glyn Evan returned his best score for some time today, winning division 2 with 36 points ahead of Les Smith in second on 33.  Joe Kubon came in third after beating Frank Kelly and Tony Thorne on count back.

Mikael Andersson topped division 1 with 32 points, with Brian Green six points behind in second place beating Tom Yahnke on a 12/11 back-nine count back.

Colin Aspinall was a happy chappy after a birdie on the 17th gave him the only ‘2’ of the day and sole possession of the rollover pot.

Amazingly there was only one nearest the pin in division 1, coming from Mikael Andersson on the third while in division 2 Frank Grainger (2), Joe Kubon and Les Smith all hit the mark.
