Monday, Nov. 27, Pattaya C.C. – Stableford

Eight groups out today with the cut at 8-17 and 18+ and there were two scores of 40 points.  Bob Comartin posted one of them to win division 1, with Colin Aspinall second on 36 and Paul Young third one point behind Colin.

Theo Bahrt topped the podium in division 2, with Willy Van Heetvelde second on 39 points and Johnny Walsh third with 38.

Near pins went to (Div 1) Frank Boudveins, Arvo Narep, Tommy O’Donnell and Raivo Velsberg, and (Div 2) Gerry Cooke, Anthony Howett and Willy Van Heetvelde.

Tommy O’Donnell, Rod Howett and Anthony Howett all had birdie ‘2’s.

Wednesday, Nov. 29, Bangpra – Stableford

We were playing off the white tees today with an exact cut as of Monday but the scores here were a lot lower.

Thirty seven points was the best of the day, coming from Alan Bissell to win division 2, with Jim Connelly in second one point behind and Theo Bahrt third with 34.

Raivo Velsberg was the winner in division 1 with 34 points and on a 19/18 back-nine count-back Pete Sumner beat Paul Young after they both returned scores of 33.

Near pins were claimed by (Div 1) Bob Comartin, Karl Hiltunen, Tommy O’Donnell and Pete Sumner, and (Div 2) Theo Bahrt and Shane Tutton.

There were no ‘2’s in either division.

Friday, Dec. 1,
Eastern Star – Stableford

With the numbers picking up we have three divisions out today with the fairest cut at 8-16, 17-20 and 23 + and with forward white tees again the scores were higher than normal.

Steve Godfrey, playing off 17, returned the best score of the day to win division 2 with 42 points.  Gerry Cooke came in second six points behind Steve and Chris Slota finished third after beating Frank Kelly on a 19/18 back nine count-back, both on 35 points.

In form Theo Bahrt scored 40 points to win division 3, with Louis Wong eight points back in second place and John Kelly was third with 31.

Finally in division 1 Jerry Sweetnam’s 39 was the winning score, with his best pal Mikael Andersson second on 37 and yet again Pete Sumner beat Paul Young on a back-nine count-back of 19/17 after they both shot 34 points.

Near pins went to (Div 1) Bob Comartin, Pete Sumner (2) and Jerry Sweetnam, and (Div 2) Rick Assi, Jim Connelly, Ali Dukoney and Shane Tutton.

Mikael Andersson, Pete Sumner, Bob Comartin and Gerry Cooke all had birdie ‘2’s.
