The slow golf didn’t seem to affect Kevin O’Sullivan as he somehow kept his concentration and came out the winner with thirty nine points.  Ger Lodge has just arrived back last week and has settled in quickly and he came second with thirty six points while Paula Koptaz took the third and last place with thirty four.

Sunday, Feb. 4, Green Valley – Stableford

Here at Green Valley it was another very nice day for golf and Nick Caulfield came out the winner of the A flight with thirty eight points, which included two 2’s to make it an excellent payday for him.  Kevin Blake has also just returned from England and he came second with thirty six points beating Andy Featherstone on count-back while Michael Williams came fourth with thirty four.

In the B flight Ronan Simms was a very clear winner with thirty nine points and we then had two players on thirty four and here Peter Henshaw won the count-back to come second and Joe Peters had to settle for third.  Gerry Hughes got the fourth place with thirty two points.

Tuesday, Feb. 6, Pattavia – Stableford

We had 29 players today on a course that is in excellent condition & great value.  The weather was good & it was not to hot

The scoring reflected the good conditions and in A flight Michael Williams (14) returned to form with 38 points for the win.  Second place went to Craig Hitchens (14) on 37 points while third was claimed by Andy Featherstone (4) with 36.  Fourth and fifth places were decided on count-back with Kevyn Wright (16) edging out Jack Fetherston (14), both with 35 points.

3rd Dan Hobbs (23) 36pts

4th Alec Smith (23) 35pts

5th Pat Carty (24) 31pts

A very busy course here in Greenwood today and it is not surprising as the course is in such excellent condition.  We had a large group out and all the comments were very favorable with many saying we should play here more often.

We had two flights with the cut coming in at seventeen and Michael Williams is certainly on a roll at the moment as he won for the second day in a row this week, today with an excellent forty points.  Kevyn Wright came second with thirty seven points but as Kevyn had the only ‘2’ of the day in such a large group he actually came away with by far the most money.  Teddy Lodge has at last found his form and he also had thirty seven, his best score in a long time but he had to settle for third as he lost the count back to Kevyn. In the B flight Sean Hallahan had his first outright win in a very long time with thirty seven points and Sean beat Bernie Stafford into second on the count back.  Dan Hobbs came third with thirty six points ahead of Alec Smith and Pat Carty.
