Tuesday, July 24, Greenwood – Stableford
On Tuesday we went the long way to Greenwood and arrived to find a beautiful well-maintained course. That’s the reward for the long drive. We had very nice weather – it was dry and a bit cloudy with a nice cool breeze.
Stephen Ford again showed his good form and won with 39 points ahead of Willem Lasonder in second place with 34.
The near pins went to Dave Smith and Willem Lasonder.
Thursday, July 2, The Emerald – Stableford
The Emerald was our venue for Thursday and the course was in good condition. It was an exciting finish between Paul Davies and Willem Lasonder but Paul kept his nerves under control better and won with 37 points, beating Willem on count-back. Third was birthday boy Dave Smith who, after a very good front nine, fell away on the back-nine to finish with 36 points.
The near pin awards were claimed by Stephen Ford, Daniel Oshiro and Willem Lasonder.
