Sunday, April 2, Stableford – Green Valley

1st John Emerson (18) 42pts

2nd Kevin McEntee (10) 38pts

The course was in fine condition and the weather was overcast, cloudy and very hot with the humidity extremely high.  None of this bothered John Emerson though as he returned a fine 42 stableford points (gross 80) for the man of the match honours.  John was four points clear of the Co. Offaly gang leader and pay window specialist Kevin McEntee.

Monday, April 3, Phoenix – Stableford

1st Serge Straeten (21) 33pts

2nd John Harrison (12) 32pts

At last we returned to play Phoenix Gold where it was a joy to play on one of the area’s best conditioned and well-maintained courses.

The heat was a main factor in the low scores returned as no player managed to better par.  Best off the bunch was a man who we do not get to see a lot of, Serge Straeten, who took the match honours with 33 points.  Serge was one clear of the man on form, John Harrison.

Wednesday, April 5, Khao Kheow – Stableford

1st Marcus Earp (23) 32pts

2nd Colm lawyer (15) 32pts

Wednesday was a visit to the excellent Khao Kheow Country Club, where the test was the B & C combination.  The course, as always, was in fine shape with the greens running quick and true.  There was a threat of rain but it did not materialize bar for one small shower.

The scores today were on the low side as Marcus Earp took the  honours with a count back victory over the unlucky Colm Lawyer, both tied on 32 points each.
