PSC Golf Bunker Boys at The Ranch

It was a fine week of golf for Gerry Cooney, sweeping all three stableford competitions at the beautiful Royal Lakeside, the ever so brown Eastern Star and the best value in town Treasure Hill… this guy is good!

Monday, Sept. 21, Royal Lakeside – Stableford

1st Gerry Cooney (15) 35pts

2nd Lee Duncan (16) 34pts

3rd Tore Eliassen (19) 34pts

Near Pins: Gerry Cooney (2), P.J. Redmond

Only six of our most steadfast and resolute players braved the ominous skies for the long drive up the motorway to enjoy a round at the lovely Lakeside course.  The weather held; the course was in great shape; and fun was had by all.

Wednesday, Sept. 23, Eastern Star – Stableford

1st Gerry Cooney (15) 37pts

2nd Mike Johns (16) 36pts

3rd Frank Quinlan (29) 34pts

Near Pins: Tony Berry, Mike Johns

Only five of our faithful could rouse themselves out of bed to make the trek over to Ban Chang.  It was well worth the trip though as the course here is definitely improving.  That is to say, the fairways are beginning to turn green, the bunkers were raked, and the greens were running at a decent pace.

Friday, Sept. 25, Treasure Hill (yellow tees) – Stableford

1st Gerry Cooney (15) 33pts

2nd Geoff Parker (15) 33pts

3rd P.J. Redmond (25s) 32pts

Near Pins: Geoff Cox, Mike Johns, Gerry Cooney.

Gerry Cooney barely squeezed out a count back win over Geoff Parker to sweep the week’s competitions.  Finishing with an average stableford score of 35 over the three rounds, it was a great and rewarding week of golf for Gerry.

The previous evening’s storm had left branches, leaves and debris scattered here and there but, as usual, the course was in great shape and is most definitely the best value in town.
