IPGC Golf from the Tara Court

Sunday, April 2, Green Valley – Stableford

1st Joe Peters (20) 36pts

2nd Kevin Blake (6) 36pts

3rd Ken Hole (20) 34pts

4th Russell Gilroy (18) 33pts

We had a smaller group out today here at Green Valley and only enough for one flight.  Even after all the heavy rain on Saturday the course was in much-improved condition and we were lucky with the weather today and all got round dry.

Joe Peters kept up his very steady golf again today and e came out the winner with thirty-six points.  Kevin Blake had an excellent front nine, going round in level par gross but he faltered a bit on the back nine and lost the count back to Joe and had to settle for second today.  Ken Hole got the third place with thirty four points and Russell Gilroy got the fourth and last place with thirty three.  Again today we had no ‘2’s so the carry over goes on to next Sunday.

Tuesday, April 4, Mt. Shadow – Stableford

1st Marc Brunner (9) 33pts

2nd Craig Hitchens (15) 33pts

3rd Jon Batty (8) 31pts

Back at Mountain Shadow today with our friends from the PFGS and we found the course deserted except for ourselves.  We teed off early and got round quickly, which is one of the big advantages of low season golf.  It was a very nice day for golf and not nearly as hot as you would expect for this time of year.

We had a new winner today as Marc Brunner came out on top with thirty-three points, which is a reasonable score on this course off the blue tees.  Craig Hitchens also had thirty three but lost the count back to Marc and had to settle for second place.  Jon Batty got the third and last podium place with thirty one.  Again today we had no ‘2’s.

We cancelled our usual Thursday game this week as it was a Public Holiday and all the courses were too expensive.
