As expected, the Thailand men’s and ladies team returned from The World Lawn Bowls Championships in Adelaide, South Australia without any medals but with many fantastic memories of having had the opportunity to bowl against the best bowlers in the world at 2 magnificent bowls clubs.

Of the eight disciplines they competed in, the best result was achieved by the ladies triples team of Songsin Tsao from Bangkok and Thong Oomen and Orawan Sodok from Pattaya who finished 14th out of 24.  Their results included beating Ireland and only losing by 5 shots to the eventual gold medal winners Australia whose team included Karen Murphy who also won the singles gold medal.

Australia were as expected the most successful nation with Scotland finishing second.
