PSC Golf from Mulligans Lakeside

Tuesday, Jan. 26, The Emerald – Stableford

Tuesday was our monthly visit down to Emerald, with the course generally in ok condition; the greens were glassy from above the hole, leaving a few tricky comebackers.

Bob Edwards (10) maintained his form, not missing a collect since his arrival, with a 35 pointer, which included a couple of par 3 birdies, courtesy of some nice putts.  Jim Federspiel (14) just edged the recently unlucky Willem on count back of the last 6 holes 13/10 for second spot after both signed for 33 points.  Willem gained some consolation with a NTP, along with Jeff (2) & Jim.

Mulligan’s good ol’ boys – Jim & Bob. Mulligan’s good ol’ boys – Jim & Bob.

Thursday, Jan. 28, Mt. Shadow – Stableford

Mountain Shadow was our Thursday venue, with the course in good condition, and although the greens were not quite as fearsome as they can be at times, they still presented a challenge for all.

Jeff Wylie (7) after a slow start, best dealt with the conditions to sign for 34 points.  Next best was a happy Willem Lasonder (21) with 31 points, his lowest tally for a few games, when he has been beaten out of the prize money.  Just goes to show, amateur golf is very much a day to day proposition.

Willem & Jeff (2) again showed the way with the NTPs, while 1 went uncl;aimed resulting in a donation to Banglamung Boys Home.

It was nice to see David & Elizabeth Middleton come back for a game, while on holidays visiting their son.

Note:  Mulligans Lakeside plays golf generally on Tuesday & Thursday, with ML hosting prompt presentations on both days.  Call 089 094 1841 for scheduling or enquiries.  Hope to see you there, cheers & good golfing!
