Sunday’s medal comp was well contested till the very end, with Barry ‘the boot’ Copestake winning with a net 69, and of course taking the man of the match honours. Pay-window specialist Peter Terry and Scotland’s Mark Wood both had net 70 returns and the prevailing count-back dictated that they travel up the podium steps in that order.
Martin Zimmerman, who does not seem to play as much in as he previously did, served notice that the downtime was having no adverse effects on his game as he edged Garry Gribbin for the fourth step.
Steve Mann was the sole heir to the 2’s pot.
