Week-long agricultural fair set for July in Sriracha

Chonburi will showcase the results of research, development and technology that support farmers at an Agriculture Day fair next summer.

Anothai Joongjai from the provincial Agriculture Department presided over the Dec. 7 planning meeting for the July 8-16 exposition to be held at Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok in Sriracha.

Agricultural projects will be displayed on over 680 rai, split into three zones: the airport area, indoors and the open garden and farm section.

Activities will include academic training, seminars, demonstrations, management, marketing, redevelopment, production and all basic knowledge that involves planting crops and related activities.

The highlight of the event will be the introduction of various new crops, like the Ubon Lotus, which has been processed with lotus or water lily from foreign countries, as well as animal breeding.
