The Pattaya International Ladies Club held its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 7th February at the Holiday Inn on Beach Road. One of Pattaya’s longest running clubs and very well known for its community work, PILC took the opportunity to thank its outgoing committee for their tremendous efforts throughout 2015. Last year saw a wide range of activities and successful events take place, as well as ongoing welfare projects helping communities in need in the area.

With over 60 members in attendance and in the capable hands of Election Officer Angela Poustie, it took only a little over 45 minutes for all the business to be attended to – a (PILC) club record! Angela introduced the new team of enthusiastic ladies who will take on the responsibility of guiding the club’s activities for 2016.

They are: Helle Rantsen, President; Sue Tait, Vice President; Wendy Khan, Secretary; Deepika Bhateja, Treasurer; Kathy Greenleaf, Membership; Pauline Elphick, Activities; Lhen Lhen Mantela, Welfare; Vanessa Beading, Newsletter; Violette Gauthier, Hospitality. Welcome also to Li Jie Cao who is a late addition to the team and will look after Special Events. Congratulations ladies!

Helle Rantsen, re-elected for her fourth term as president, said it was wonderful to have such a great team to take the club forward into 2016. “PILC has around 200 members representing 18 nationalities and it is great to have a committee reflecting that diversity. We are looking forward to an exciting year and already have lots of ideas for events and activities for our members to enjoy.”

With the business of the day out of the way, everyone in attendance then proceeded to enjoy the always excellent lunch buffet provided by the Holiday Inn’s capable food and beverage team.
