Nong Nooch wins 6th gold medal at British flower show

For the sixth consecutive year, Pattaya’s Nong Nooch Tropical Garden won a gold medal at the Chelsea Flower Show in London.

Nong Nooch Director Kampol Tansajja said May 20 Queen Elizabeth II had visited the “Thailand: Land of Buddhism” exhibit before the Royal Horticultural Society honored the kingdom with the gold medal for a display of Thai plants and flowers.

The exhibit used Thai orchids to translate how Buddhism relates to Thai people’s thinking. The display team was supported by Siam Commercial Bank in Pattaya, the Royal Thai Embassy in the United Kingdom, and the Department of Tourism at Thailand’s Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
