Thank you Pattaya

The recent appeal to the people for Pattaya to donate food on World Food Day ensured the children of the Father Ray Foundation will not go to bed feeling hungry.

Many individuals, schools and businesses arrived at the Foundation, some carrying bags of food while others arrived with pick-up trucks full of essentials.

Thanks go to the families, friends and colleagues of John Potter and John Ladbrook for their huge donation of not just food but also sports equipment, toiletries and clothes. Workers from Foster Wheeler, DOW, Kaefer Insulation, MAS, Sino Thai, Cape and BJC Heavy Industries Ltd also came to the aid of the children.

The students of the Regents School and St. Andrews International School, as well as members of the Pattaya Sports Club, donated food that will be used to feed the 850 underprivileged children and students with disabilities who are currently living at the Father Ray Foundation.

Many individuals, Thai and foreign, also arrived and donated gallons of cooking oil, dried noodles, canned fish, coconut milk, fish sauce and cartons of milk.

The Father Ray Foundation can only feed those in its care with the help of donations. The annual SOS Rice Appeal will be taking place in early December, and as in previous years the generosity shown by the people of Pattaya to those in need will, we hope, surpass all expectations.
