Garden International School (GIS) celebrated Songkran with a flurry of activities and traditional Thai games. The whole school took part in the celebrations, which are held annually to mark the Thai New Year.

Foundation and Primary held water-based games while in secondary there was a special assembly, organized by the Thai department, which explained the meaning of Songkran. Students also demonstrated traditional Thai activities, such as Muay Thai, before students poured water over their teachers’ hands as a mark of respect.
