Nigel Quennell, president of the Rotary Club of Eastern Seaboard Pattaya, celebrated the birthday of his two sons on July 28 by taking children from the Child Protection & Development Center out to a hefty lunch.

Nigel was accompanied by his wife Som and four of his children: Jay, 16, Jonny, 9, (the two birthday boys) Jenni and Elizabeth, as well as some of his friends from the Rotary Club Eastern Seaboard: Russell Iffland, Tatiana Sokolova, Maggie Travis, Joy and Carl Dyson, Michael Todd-White, Jan and Ket Abbink.

The children at the center were more than delighted by the welcome change of their daily routine and had the same fun as the visiting grown-ups, who were happy to bring some smiles onto the children’s faces.

When Jay and Jonny were asked if they would get another birthday present, other than taking the less fortunate kids out to lunch, they looked questioning at their father – yet Nigel wouldn’t give the secret away.
