Thammasat University students handed out food and cleaned South Pattaya as part of the school’s “New Era Kids” project.

Pathama Chanchiew, director of Nongprue Sub-district’s Social Security Department, welcomed the youths to Chaimongkol Temple June 19.

New Era Kids is a project inspired by the late HM King Rama IX to show society that today’s “kids” still value traditional value and customs.

The youths gave out free food and drinks to temple visitors and offered educational tips in a variety of fields.

The students later split into two groups, with one cleaning up the temple and Chaimongkol Market area, and the other passing out food to the homeless and needy from a tent.
