The Regent’s School Pattaya has been host to some giants of the sporting world. Two former NBA professional basketball players have been running a basketball camp for students this week.
Michael Moten, who stands 6 feet 7 inches tall (2m 4 cm), has played professionally in America, Europe and Asia, and has spent the past few days passing on his skills to the students at school. Their organization, For the Love of Basketball, aims to inspire children in Thailand to play one of the fastest growing sports in the world.

Scott Hansen in Year 9 is one of the lucky students to have benefited. “It’s a once in a lifetime experience,” he says.
With the pupils learning about dribbling, game tactics and shooting technique from the experts, we will be hoping for great things from our basketball teams next year!
