On Tuesday, 8th January, Lewis [Woody] Underwood, President of the Jesters Care for Kids and I traveled to Mercy Ministries’ new premises in Pong District to present 9 brand new bicycles to children in their care. Mercy Ministries, under the guidance of Pastor Fred Doell and his wife Diane, have operated in Pattaya since the year 2000 caring for local children at risk, abused or abandoned.

At “Our Father’s House” they currently have 28 children in their care. Mercy also supports a scholarship programme for underprivileged children and delivers food parcels to the less fortunate living in slum areas.

For children who have had very little in their short lives, having a bicycle of their very own is a happy moment for them. For children who have had very little in their short lives, having a bicycle of their very own is a happy moment for them.

For children who have had very little in their short lives, having a bicycle of their very own is a happy moment for them. The picture shows this happiness far better than words could describe.

As always Jesters Care for Kids were proud to be able to assist in bringing this joy. Thanks to Numchai Bicycle Shop for their generous discounts and to Lhen Lhen for her assistance in selecting the appropriate bicycles.
