Parents are complaining that baht bus drivers are creating a safety hazard outside Pattaya School No. 8.

The school on the corner of South and Second roads has limited space to pick up and drop off students to begin with. But baht bus drivers are illegally parking in most of those spaces and neither the police nor city hall is enforcing the law, parents complained Sept. 14.

That has forced some parents to even park on the sidewalk and they fear children may get hit by cars due to the congestion.

Parent Sasithorn Nampan, 33, said some students wait for their parents on the street when parents park their motorbikes on the sidewalk because baht buses are taking up the street spots.
