Students and staff from Garden International School (GIS) joined together to mark this year’s Loy Krathong festival.

Students had a chance to make their own krathong in the morning, before sitting down to watch a Thai cultural show in the afternoon. Performances included dances from various regions in Thailand, including an umbrella dance and an ‘Issan’ dance, along with a demonstration of Muay Thai boxing from students and teacher Khun Wan.

Lots of staff and students wore traditional Thai clothes to mark this popular annual event, which was organised by the school’s Thai department. GIS is based in Ban Chang, near Pattaya.
