Banglamung School raises 670,000 baht for renovations

Banglamung School raised more than 670,000 baht at a merit-making ceremony to raise funds to renovate a two-story conference hall.

Pattaya City Council President Urit Nantasurasak lit candles as he presided over the Sept. 1 ceremony attended by students, teachers, public officials and community leaders.

Local residents and business owners formed a queue to donate, with Nopparat Uppala, manager at the Colosseum transvestite cabaret handing over 8,999 baht. He also organized a Lanna folklore performance.

Vimolthammasit, abbot of Wat Chong Lom and chief of Huay Yai monk’s committee, presided over the religious ceremony. The 500-person conference hall needs a new ventilation system and monks blessed those who donated the funds.
