Banglamung Deputy Dean of Monks Thavon Thanwaro, the abbot of Sutthawat Temple, spoke to the youths about using dharma in their daily lives, thinking and solving problems carefully and correctly, being responsible to themselves and society, and constantly avoiding doing wrong and to be honest and not cheat.

The lecture was an effort to keep the youngsters away from drugs in line with the government’s policy requiring families, schools, the community and society to end the narcotics epidemic.

The government says youths who sell drugs must be caught and those addicted rehabilitated. This can be done through the involvement of youth groups such as the To Be No. 1 Foundation, Friends Helping Friends and others focusing on preventing drinking and smoking among youths.
