In essence, those who were arrested or prosecuted for weapons offenses before May 29, 2014 will not be eligible for the prosecution waiver stipulated under NCPO announcement no. 37.
The NCPO had issued the announcement to facilitate peace and order in the nation, allowing those in possession of illegal weapons to turn in the items without facing charges.
