Two quakes hit different spots of Thailand

BANGKOK, 29 September 2012 -Two small quakes were detected four hours apart in Chiang Mai in the North and Kanchanaburi in the West, with no initial reports of injuries and damage. 

A 1.6 magnitude quake hit at 00.40 hrs in Chiang Dao district of Chiang Mai while a slightly bigger quake measuring 2.9 on the Richter scale occurred yesterday in Thong Phaphum district of Kanchanaburi at 20.04 hrs. No reports of injuries and damage have been filed so far in the two areas.
