Truck in flames after road accident

Emergency services were called to a road traffic accident on the main road between Chonburi and Pattaya where they found a small 4- wheeled truck that was on fire causing a 2 km traffic jam.

The officers sprayed water to control the fire and tended to the injured parties 23 year old Mr. Cheerawat Praphasongsith and 16 year old Mr. Phongsathorn Thongkhumthim.

Cheerawat told the police that while he was driving the truck on his way to Bangkok a cement lorry came in from the right hand lane, he sounded his horn and realized the the lorry was going to hit him so he accelerated however his truck overturned and burst into flames.

The officers inspected the scene but of course the cement lorry was nowhere to be seen.
