Top regional officer visits Chonburi Immigration

The deputy commander of Immigration Division 3 inspected operations at the Chonburi Immigration Office, instructing Pattaya-area officers to focus harder on illegal migrant workers.

Chonburi chief, Pol. Col. Prapansak Prasansook welcomed Pol. Col. Ayat Pumrin to the Jomtien Soi 5 office Jan. 23.

Addressing the staff, Ayat laid out policies to tighten up restrictions for illegal migrant workers, especially those from Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar.

He also visited the operations center and front office. The deputy chief said he approved of the Chonburi office’s organization and management.

Statistics for crimes and fugitive cases tackled consistently have been high, he said. He called the Pattaya office an example for other regional immigration offices.

Before departing, Ayat presented rare Buddhist amulets from Nonsawang Temple in Udon Thani as gifts to all immigration staffers and officers to encourage them to work hard and serve the country with loyalty, welcome tourists and keep criminals away from Thailand.
