Surawit Khonsomboon, deputy public health minister said three flood-related deaths were recorded in Mae Hong Son, Chon Buri and Ayutthaya.
Mobile medical units offered medical treatment to flood victims in 14 provinces from September 9 to September 22, reporting 25,684 patients, including 12,897 people suffering from headache from stress and insomnia or inadequate sleep, followed by athlete’s foot.
Psychiatrist teams have worked to screen 5,073 flood victims and found 111 people with high stress and 37 others with depression. Thirty-eight cases are being closely monitored.
He said regarding the flood situation in Prachin Buri that six hospitals have been flooded but no medical supplies were damaged. Pumps are in operation to drain water out of the hospitals to avert any impacts on the service.
Doctors and medical staff from nearby provinces were deployed to offer mobile medical unit services.
