Secretary-General the Office of Vocational Education Commission Dr. Chaipreuk Sereerak happily announced that Thailand has won for the 5th consecutive year the top prize at the “6th International Collegiate Snow Sculpture Contest 2014”, which was held during January 4-7 of this year at Harbin, China.
The theme of the competition was under “Inspiration Snow Dream” with 61 teams from 13 countries competing in. They needed to complete their snow sculptures within 3 days under temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius.
Saraburi Vocational College won first prize with their work titled “Wonder of Thailand” that showcased the allure and amazingness of Thailand. The winning snow sculpture included beautiful Thai art, temples, mythical creatures, and even tuk tuks, which are very well-known among those who have visited the country.
The Thai winning team comprises 2 vocational teachers Poonrat Peungarom and Kittipol Vichiancheu, along with their 4 students Atip Rayayoi, Teerapong Sookdee, Jakkrawut Kumvijit, and Pitak Nolpa.
