Thai PM on official Cambodian visit

BANGKOK, Oct 30 – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha left Bangkok for Phnom Penh this afternoon for an official visit to Cambodia to discuss mutual benefits with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen.

Gen Prayut, his wife and their delegation departed Bangkok for an official visit to Cambodia set for today and tomorrow.

In Phnom Penh, he will discuss with his Cambodian counterpart plans for bilateral interest including cooperation to boost border trade for mutual benefits.

Then Gen Prayut will witness the signing of three Memorandums of Understanding on tourism, human trafficking suppression and railway connection

Afterwards he will meet Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni to report Thailand’s assistance for Cambodia in the fields of education and public health.

Cambodia will host a reception dinner to welcome Gen Prayut’s delegation tonight.

It is his third official visit to other countries as the prime minister after Myanmar and Italy.

Gen Prayut will attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meeting in China from Nov 9 to 11 and the ASEAN Summit in Myanmar on Nov 12 and 13.
