Teen motorcyclist injured after hitting construction site hazard

A teenager sustained cuts and broken bones when he crashed his motorbike into a pile of dirt left on Sukhumvit Road by construction workers.

Singhsamut student Chettnath Nutnet, 15, was treated at Queen Sirikit Hospital after the Dec. 19 accident at the 167-kilometer marker in Bang Saray.

Witness Chaiyant Ruanphrom told police the teen had hit dirt that had spilled over from the construction site of the Ban Bangsarae housing development. The soil had been piled up along the roadside where it will be used to cover drainage pipes being laid.

Police contacted the development’s owner to order workers to remove the road hazard.
