TAT brings Miss Czech Republic pageant to Pattaya to boost Eastern European interest

Giving Eastern Europeans yet another reason to visit Pattaya, Tourism Authority of Thailand officials from Germany brought the finalists in the Miss Czech Republic beauty pageant to Pattaya.

Marzouki Ali, marketing manager for TAT Frankfurt, and Eastern Europe’s Eso Travel sponsored the Jan. 6-20 visit that saw the 14 contestants photographed and filmed enjoying Thai tourist destinations, golf courses and other facilities in Pattaya, Bangkok, Phuket and Ratchaburi.

Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome greeted the beauty contestants at the Soot Thang Rak restaurant Jan. 10, inviting them to enjoy the seafood and scenic surroundings.

The winner of the contest will be selected March 24 on Czech national television, with an estimated 6 million people seeing the Thai sights.
