Suthep leads PDRC protesters to new rally site at Rajdamnoen Nok

BANGKOK, May 12 -- Anti-government protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban today led the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) supporters to their new rally site at Rajdamnoen Nok Avenue.

Mr Suthep, PDRC secretary general and PDRC leaders led their protesters to pay respect to King Rama VI at his statue, located at the main Lumpini Park gate, before leading the protesters to abandon their main rally site at Lumpini Park for Rajdamnoen Nok Road, in front of the UNESCAP office.

The PDRC procession left Lumpini Park at 2.14pm and moved along Ratchadamri Road, Ratchaprasong intersection, Pathumwan intersection to Phaya Thai, Ratchathewi, Phetpharam intersection, Urupong intersection, Yomaraj intersection, Nang Lerng intersection, and then the Orathai bridge to Makhawan bridge. 

Some PDRC protesters have moved to Parliament to monitor the special Senate session chaired by Speaker-elect Liangboonlertchai to seek ways out of the political crisis.

Mr Surachai who said that he chaired a meeting in his capacity as Deputy Senate Speaker, said a solution could not be settled in one day and wanted all people in the country to jointly work out a settlement to the turmoil.
