Hrasha Kumara and Madura Thushara were arrested on kidnapping and human trafficking charges for allegedly forcing a compatriot into prostitution in Pattaya.

Hrasha Kumara, 34, and Madura Thushara, 26, were taken into custody Nov. 12, a day after a 20-year-old Sri Lankan woman complained to police she had been forced to serve a half-dozen men a day since arriving in Pattaya Oct. 30.

The pair were charged with kidnapping, human trafficking, pimping and forcing an individual into prostitution.

The woman said she had been lured from her home to travel around the United Emirates before being kidnapped and brought to Pattaya.

The suspects denied the charges, but police said they had bank account records to back up the charges.
