Following the 6-year annual editions in Singapore, the Carbon Forum Asia 2012 has shifted the regional attention to Thailand for the first time. The two-day conference and carbon trade fair will provide a place where ideas are exchanged and opportunities abound for local and foreign investors.
According to Mr. Dirk Forrister, President and CEO of the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA), co-organizer of the forum, representatives from more than 50 countries are expected to participate in the event, ranging from in-depth talks, updates on the international trends, and addresses on challenges faced by the industry. Successful carbon emission reduction projects from around the world will also be showcased.
The current carbon situation in Asia has seen some progress as countries like Japan, China and India are taking a serious look at energy efficiency and low carbon technology.
The forum will serve as a place where leading experts establish trends and policies that will define the climate change agenda for Asia and beyond.
