The scaled-down Colors of the East will unfurl along Pattaya Beach Road Feb. 25 with food, travel deals and plenty of traffic.

The 9th annual fair, which runs through Feb. 28, is aimed at promoting tourism for the eastern provinces of Chonburi, Rayong, Trat and Chantaburi.

Chonburi Deputy Gov. Phawat Lertmukhda and Pattaya Mayor Ronakit Ekasingh announced final details for the festival Feb. 10.

Each year’s fair always brings massive traffic problems.

Officials announced this year’s Colors of the East festival will be held along Pattaya Beach Road Feb. 25 – 28.

Travel packages for vacations in the eastern provinces, along with local seafood will be featured. The event will offer 120 booths selling food, locally made goods, tourist souvenirs and other locally made merchandise.

Last year’s events ran two more days and featured about 80 more booths.
