The head of the Pattaya City Council’s education committee questioned a project by Pattaya School No. 5 to spend 180,000 baht on 10 outdoor pavilions while hitting up parents for funds to build even more.

Farooq Wongborisuthi reviewed progress on the project to construct “salas,” or meeting places used to shelter people from the sun.  Salas are most commonly found at Buddhist temples.
